The Brazilian Carbon Association (ABCarb) and the Brazilian Army Technological Center will organize the 2013 edition of the World Conference on Carbon (Carbon 2013), the most important international event in the field of carbon materials.

The event organization is rotated annualy among USA, Europe and Asia. After an agreement between ABCarb and the American Carbon Society, Brazil will host the event in 2013, the first time the conference will happen in the south hemisphere.

Carbon 2011 will happen in China and Carbon 2012 in Poland.
