Due to limited sponsorship for Carbono 2009, as a result of the current world financial crisis, the organizing committee concluded that it would not be possible to have an event with a level of quality compatible with the importance of carbon materials research in Brazil. Therefore, the Brazilian Carbon Association decided to postpone the conference to 2010, at the same time of the year.
