- Descrição: The Ribeirão Preto group belongs to the Chemistry Departament of FFCLRP-University of São Paulo and works with preparation of carbons, oxide and metals in micro and nano scale. It employs several preparation methods and has experience to work also with reactive materials (lithium). In the carbon nanotubes field the group has builded their reactors and use chemical and electrochemical methods for purification and/or functionalization of carbon nanotubes. The group does structural, microscopic and electrochemical characterization of several materials and use Syncrontron radiation as need. The group has colaborations with friends in Brasil and oversea. In addition, the group has also projects for the development of sensors, capacitors, fuel cells, electrodes for lithium ion battery, filters and carbon filler for polymers.
